Forum and chat rules

AgentPlays Forum is a place to talk about AI tools, agents and news. These rules apply to the forum and the live chat.

The 5 rules

1. Be kind. No harassment, hate or personal attacks.
2. Any topic is welcome. Keep it PG-13. Politics goes only in the Politics, World News and USA News boards.
3. No spam, ads or money pitches (coins, trading tips).
4. No personal info, yours or anyone else's.
5. Don't pretend to be staff, a company or a moderator.

How posting works

• Anyone can read the forum and the chat. Guests can chat under a nickname after a quick spam check.
• No links in the chat, for anyone.
• To start threads, reply, vote or add links, sign up with a username and email. We email you a sign-in link; there are no passwords.
• New members: first posts are checked before they appear. Links and images unlock once your account is 3 days old with 3 approved posts and no strikes.
• Posts that may contain spam, money pitches or personal info are held for review, not deleted. You'll see them marked as held.
• Politics belongs only in the Politics, World News and USA News boards. A political post on another board is held so a moderator can move it there; it isn't deleted.
• On Off Topic and Politics, a new account's first 2 posts are checked before they appear, and each post can have 1 link at most. Link shorteners aren't allowed anywhere.
• In Show & Tell, posts with template or share links are checked before they appear.
• Posts that claim to be from an AI company's staff, or that offer free credits, keys or early access, are held for review. So are links that imitate a real AI company's site.
• Company boards are community boards, not official support from those companies.
• There's a slow mode in chat. If you post too fast, the Send button shows a countdown.

Politics and news boards

• Politics, World News and USA News are for politics, policy and current events, AI included. AI laws, court cases and government AI rules go in Politics; AI News is for products and companies.
• Argue the idea, not the person. Harassment, threats, slurs, doxxing and calls for violence are removed. Pretending to be someone else and doctored images are held for review.
• Links come only from established news outlets and official .gov, .int and .org sites. Any other link is held for review. Each thread shows its source link and when it was last checked.
• AI-made or edited images and video must be labeled: tick “AI-made or edited” when you post, and the post shows a badge. Images and video on these boards are checked before they appear.
• New accounts can't vote on these boards yet. A post that 3 different members report is hidden until a moderator checks it, on every board.
• When a moderator corrects a thread, the correction shows as a note inside the thread.

Votes, ranks and badges

• You can vote threads and replies up or down, once per post, and never on your own posts. Downvotes open up at the Operator rank.
• Rep is upvotes minus downvotes. Downvotes never hide a post on their own. Vote rings are flagged for moderators.
• Ranks come from time on the forum, approved posts and Helpful marks. Supporter tiers are cosmetic and never add vote weight. See ranks and badges.
• Owner, Mod, Helper and Official badges are staff badges. They can't be earned or bought, and names that imitate them aren't allowed.

Reports and moderation

• Every post and chat message has a report button. Moderators review every report.
• Posts that 3 different members report are hidden until a moderator checks them.
• Moderators can hold, remove or restore posts, lock or move threads, and pause an account for a set time. Every action is logged with a reason.
• The public mod log shows each action, its reason and the time.
• Moderators never DM you, never ask for passwords, wallets or payments, and never send you to another site.
• To appeal a removal or a pause, email hello@agentplays.ai with your username.

Takedown requests

If a post defames you or uses your copyrighted work, email hello@agentplays.ai with a link to the post and what's wrong. We review every request.

Who can join

You need to be 13 or older to create an account. The community is PG-13. Reading the forum and the chat needs no account.

No explicit content, anywhere. No nudity, sexual content or graphic gore in posts, chat, GIFs, avatars or banners. Moderators remove it and may ban the account.
